is Granted to Oceatec
Oceatec
Inc., a leading provider in seafood processing solutions, is proud to
announce that the Canadian Intellectual Property Office has granted
the corporation with a new technology patent. This patent, while
increasing Oceatec’s intellectual property portfolio, demonstrate
once again Oceatec’s expertise in seafood processing automation.
The patent
number CA 2,362,884 describes an innovative method for opening shells
(tests) and extracting roes out of green sea urchins
(strongylocentrotus drobachiensis).
Oceatec has
more patent pendings as Oceatec is adapting this innovative
technology to other sea urchin species and secure its intellectual
property.

– Mr Pierre Patenaude, Oceatec president, gave a presentation at
the 2nd Acadian Peninsula Food Processing Conference, in
Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick, Canada. That conference was organised
by the Atlantic
Food & Beverage Processors Association.
Mr Patenaude made a presentation on Equipment Automation where,
amongst other topics, he presented major issues in innovation and
future trends in technology.
